A first look at the city center and its wonders. Walking tour with our tour leader to San Lorenzo’s Cathedral, Rocca Paolina, San Bernardino…
You will discover Assisi, an extraordinary environment for the beauty of the countryside and its rich artistic and cultural heritage. You’ll visit Basilica di San Francesco. Visit the wonderful historical centre of Gubbio.
Visit Città di Castello, for the most part still surrounded by town walls dating back to the 16th century: this particular city spreads out along the Tiber valley, on the spot where the Romans had founded the township of Tifernum Tiberinum.
Enjoy the Lago di Trasimeno area.
Long known as a center of refined maiolica manufacture, Deruta remains known for its ceramics, which are exported worldwide! Opportunity to participate in a pottery workshop.
Visit Todi, that is perched on a tall two-crested hill overlooking the east bank of the river Tiber, commanding distant views in every direction.
Enjoy a wine tasting at “Cantina Antonelli” inside Casale SCTriano, and visit its vineyards and wine cellars. Opportunity to participate in a cooking lesson or continue to Norcia or Spoleto.
Stop in Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio.
Visit Orvieto: Visit the Orvieto Cathedral, the Pozzo di S. Patrizio, a well built for the Popes, Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo and the underground city.
Stop in Civita di Bagnoregio: a town that was founded by Etruscans over 25 hundred years ago but has seen its population dwindle to just fifteen residents over the course of the 20th century.
Today you will experience a historical and artistic itinerary among the vestiges of Roman culture, discovering architecture, painting, sculpture which left an unforgettable trail all over the world: Foro Romano, Colonna Traiana, Arco di Tito and the Colosseo, symbol of the city.
