This morning you will visit the Musée du Louvre.
The Louvre is one of the world’s largest museums, the most visited art museum in the world and a historic monument. The collections: Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan, Roman Antiquities; Islamic Art; Sculpture; Decorative Arts; Paintings; Prints and Drawings.
Enjoy exploration time in Parigi with your tour leader: Champs Elisées, Place de la Concorde,
Arc de Triomphe, Opéra.
Visit Montmartre, the famous painters’ quarter with your tour leader.
Tour of the Beaubourg area and visit Centre Pompidou. Centre Georges Pompidou is a complex designed in the style of high-tech architecture in the Beaubourg area. It houses the Bibliothèque publique d’information, the Musée National d’Art Moderne which is the largest museum for modern art in Europe.
Visit the Ile de France: Notre Dame, Conciergerie and Saint Chappelle.
In the afternoon you may want to learn about Impressionist arte at the Musée d’Orsay (English audioguide) or enjoy free time: shopping at the Gallerie Lafayette, in Rue de Rivoli or down the exclusive Rue de Faubourg ST. Honorè.
Half day escursion to Chartres Cathedral, the best known example of Gothic architecture.
Free time or walking city tour with your tour leader.
Full day trip: transfer by train to Louis XIV’s Palace at Versailles.
The Palace of Versailles, is a royal château. The court of Versailles was the center of political power from 1682, when Louis XIV moved from Parigi, until the royal family was forced to return to the capital after the beginning of the French Revolution.
